Privacy Policy

Pink Octopus is a text-message assistant that helps parents keep track of family logistics. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Your mobile number; the messages, photos and emails you send to Pink Octopus; and the information you ask Pink Octopus to keep — for example your children's names, birthdays, schools, activities, homework, lists, contacts, reminders, and health records such as checkups, vaccines, allergies and medications. We also keep delivery and usage logs needed to run the service.

How we use it

Only to provide Pink Octopus to your family: understanding your messages, saving and organizing what you tell us, and sending you the texts you expect (replies, reminders, a morning rundown and evening heads-up). We use an AI model provider to process messages; messages are sent to it only to generate Pink Octopus's responses. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in information are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Health information

Health records are encrypted at rest and are never included in your calendar feed. Pink Octopus is an organizer, not a medical provider, and does not give medical advice.

Children

Pink Octopus is for adults. Information about children is provided by their parent or guardian, who controls it and can delete it at any time.

Sharing within your family

Adults you invite (and who accept by replying YES) can see and change your family's shared information.

Your choices

Text STOP to stop all texts. Text DELETE MY DATA to permanently erase your family's account. Text HELP for help.

Service providers

We rely on providers for SMS delivery (Twilio), email intake (Postmark), AI processing (Anthropic) and hosting. They process data only on our behalf.
